Based on the former NRA “First Steps” class, One Point 5 Seconds offers a Getting Started course that is designed for brand new handgun owners and those considering purchasing their first pistol who want to learn the necessary fundamentals to safely and effectively shoot and maintain a handgun. This class includes instruction on the various types of pistols available today and how they work, ammunition types and purposes, dry and live-fire shooting practice, and gun cleaning basics.

Course Details

$90 | 4 Hours. Private Sessions & Group Pricing Are Available.

During this course, you will learn basic shooting safety and shooting fundamentals. This class is designed to move at a student’s pace and is open to the student asking important questions that make them feel comfortable as a new shooter. During this time, they will also learn about the parts and functions of a firearm and basic handgun control. A student does not need to bring their own handgun as gun rentals are available so that they can get a feel for what fits them before purchasing one on their own. Please request a rental when registering for this class.
